Tuesday, May 28th: Registration Opens & Book Logging Begins!
Come by the library to fill out a registration form for access to the Summer Reading app Reader Zone. You can begin logging books this day also, but please, only books read from this day forward.

For the 2024 Summer Reading Program, participants are asked to meet a page goal to earn a prize. This year, the reading groups are not age-based. You can choose your own goal based on the number of pages you want to challenge yourself to read this summer.  Each group goal has been broken down into how many books it might take to reach the goal to better help you or your reader choose their reading group.  They are:

-Casual Reader: 850 pages (about 4 picture books/week, 6-150 pg JF chapter books/summer, or 4 YA/F books/summer)
-Devoted Reader: 1250 pages (about 6 picture books/week, 9-150 pg JF chapter books/summer, or 5 YA/F books/summer)
-Extreme Reader: 2000 pages (about 10 picture books/week, 14-150 pg JF chapter books/summer, or 8 YA/F books/summer)
-Voracious Reader: 4000 pages (about 20 picture books/week, 27-150 page JF chapter books/summer, or 16 YA/F books/summer)

We are also doing the raffle tickets again for the grand prizes by completing either a badge log (kids) or a reading log (teens/adults).  More details are below as well as on our FAQ page.

Scroll to the bottom of the page for links to download the Reader Zone app.

Book drawings are held every Friday! Read a book, then enter the pages during the week into the Reader Zone app to be entered in each week's drawing.

Earn badges all summer by attending different Summer Reading events, reaching reading goals, or completing other reading or outdoor activities. Badges can be redeemed for raffle tickets at the end of the program to be entered to win one of several grand prizes!  Each badge is worth 1 raffle ticket, and if you collect all badges you'll receive an additional 5 raffle tickets. Participants will be able to choose which prize to put their tickets toward, and we'll draw the winners the week of July 22nd before the Summer Reading Wrap-Up event.  Odds of winning depend on the number of entries for each prize, and participants are only eligible to win one prize.
You will receive your badge or reading log when you register for the program in the library beginning Tuesday, May 28. Participants will be responsible for keeping up with their badges. Badge and reading logs can be turned in during the week of July 15-19 to redeem for raffle tickets. Please let us know in advance if you will be unable to visit the library that week and we will try to make accommodations.
